OH SHIT XDDDD

I went for a job interview today for richardgreys and it's an office job. Yep, seems fairly boring, but the people are cool, the work's constant and the pay's pretty good. And on top of that I'll get my sleep patterns back... Sorta (I'll still be doing the odd Ponana job).

But sadly the few things that left me when I left the offices was the fact that they plot lines on maps using the hi-tec program known as MS paint.

Paint (formerly Paintbrush for Windows) is a simple graphics painting program that has been included with almost all versions of Microsoft Windows since its first release. It is often referred to as MS Paint (Microsoft Paint). The program opens and saves files as Windows bitmap (24-bit, 256 color, 16 color, and monochrome, all with the .bmp extension), JPEG, GIF (without animation or transparency), PNG (without alpha channel), and TIFF. The program can be in color mode or two-color black-and-white, but there is no grayscale mode.

The first version of Paint was introduced with the first version of Windows, Windows 1.0. This version only supported the MSP file format. This format is no longer supported by newer versions of Paint, along with PCX and RLE. Older versions cannot open or edit PNG files, and can only open GIF, JPEG, and TIFF files with a graphics filter for the specific file type.
In Windows 95, a new version of Paint was introduced. The same icons and color palette continued to be used through Windows XP.
In Windows ME, the question asking whether to resize the current image or not when pasting a larger image was removed; instead, the image was resized automatically.
In Windows XP, the tertiary color function, used for creating GIF files with a transparent background, was removed.
In Windows Vista, the toolbar icons and default color palette have been updated. Also, unlimited undo levels, a zoom slider, and a crop function have been added.

I'm gonna see if I can get me that Vista MSPaint.

Either way, I like MSPaint :3 Its more easily accessable than CS2, which takes a fucking age to load.

When you're at the top, there's no way to go but DOWN.
Moneyz goodyay! What will you be doing? And what days off do you get?
Well I got a new pc but unfortunately my copy of CS2 is giving me grief! On the upside I got Flash8...yeeha!

The pc guys didnt recommend Vista to me though they said it was way to problematic for the amount it costs so they gave me XP Pro. Like I care go new pc yeah!

I wear a Buff....nuff said.
Jeez man, I feel for you, I really do... My job's repro-graphics. I take junk from the customer and turn it into printable files.

I work with colour management, resolution, transparency, vectorisation and general retouching issues every day of my working life. I do page make-up and type-setting for companies like Harper Collins, GE Money and Liverpool Victoria.

In all honesty, I've got access to the cutting edge of image, file and type manipulation. The only people better equipped than us are companies that work in visual entertainment (people like ILM etc, ne?)

So... you see what I mean right? I know what it's like to have the best, and every day I go home and *don't* have it in my free time.

I'd hate to work in a job that involved something... well something that old for *any* image manipulation related job.

My advice? Find your local print group; matter of fact I can recommend one to you, Lamport Guilbert.

If you push *really* hard, they'll consider hiring you. Not only will you be working somewhere that lets you use decent equipment, you'll be doing a job that you can learn from scratch in about six months of training and make good money out of.

That, and you'll be working for the same company I do, the sister branch of Blackmore. For whatever that's worth.

Sorry about the element of buggeration you've got to deal with, I deeply sympathise. :floating:

Leap in the room, hit the emergency shut-off valve, beat up two bad-guys, run for the stairs, grab the girl and hurl us both out the upper story window! You have got to be kidding me... That's your big plan?

we were in PC world at one point and i stopped to behold the prettyness that is windows vista, this twazzock opened MS paint and doodled a half arsed penguin and the quote "LINUX 4-EVUR"
i LOVE paint...

more seriously, it's about time they fixed that friggin' crop thig...i mean, to crop something, you had to crop from the bottom right by dragging the corner, then roate the image 180, then repeat...so stupid!

okay, i'll shut up now...

woman, i cannot animate without pants!

Sometimes, I look at the stars. And sometimes, when I look at the stars I think. I think about how they are just stars, and no matter what I do, they are still stars. And I accept their beauty. Its just that simple.
