Kallun twitched slightly. He'd climbed the highest peaks of the Jekuran mountains only to be told what he already knew. On top of that, he'd been engaged in a meaningless conversation with a decrepit old dragon that was too proud to admit he couldn't still a few rowdy younglings. He then cursed himself for he just realized that this decrepit old dragon before him had read every last thought he just thought.

Ororja huffed, turning up more dust at Kalluns feet than a desert wind. "Then go after them" he boomed, "but I will not be held responsible for what the other clans may think of this, nor will I admit to letting the likes of you walk back down this mountain unscathed!" He turned away slightly, ready to sweep his massive head back down into the cave, but paused for a second to savour Kallun's grief, then shot down into the darkness.

As the mountain wind filled the sounds of the air once more, Kallun felt a twinge of fear shoot through him. It wasn't just the Jekuran dragons? More than one clan are involved?

He knew the descent would lead him to hell for the next few days. Still, a smile managed to creep across his face. He cursed Ororja... Then thanked him for his impolite, yet subtle 'good luck' message.

At least one of the elders understood what may happen if their kin are allowed to run amuck...
